I have been with the City 20 years and am currently an Administrative Assistant II in the Aviation Department. I am a second line supervisor to over 20 employees, manage the department’s role in preparing for the weekly City Council Formal Meeting, manage the legislative bill review process, serve as co-manager of the computer technician assistant program, serve as project manager for our case management implementation project, as well as manage several ongoing projects. I have been a PHN member for over four years and have served as Secretary and President Elect on the PHN Board for the last two years.
I am committed to creating educational and networking events that will help further develop our members. |

 I began employment with the City of Phoenix on April 26, 1999 and currently work for Phoenix Municipal Court as an Accountant III. I have been a Phoenix Hispanic Member since 2000 and was one of the key participants in implementing the PHN Mentoring Program which has been a successful program for City employees. I am currently serving as Treasurer for the Phoenix Hispanic Network and would enjoy the opportunity to serve for another term. The experience has been very rewarding professionally and personally.
I have a BS degree in Finance from Arizona State University (ASU) and am currently pursuing a Graduate Degree in Public Administration through ASU. In addition to my education, I have experience in preparing quarterly tax reports, reconciling cash, revenue & expense accounts and preparing financial statements. Currently I am responsible for compiling financial information to be submitted quarterly to the State Treasurer, preparing financial reports and overseeing an Accounting staff of 20. |

I am currently an Internal Auditor with the City Auditor Department. I started with the City in 2004. Before starting with the City, I worked in the private sector in various accounting positions.
I joined PHN in 2005, and I am currently serving as Treasurer. I also serve on the Special Events Committee, which coordinates the annual Latina Breakfast. As a new employee, PHN exposed me to various volunteer activities and provided me with networking opportunities throughout the City. I want to give back to employees who are looking to succeed in life and are searching for opportunities to advance their careers. |

Since 2004, I, Larry M. Herrera have been working for the City of Phoenix, Street Transportation Department. My current position is with the Right-of-Way Management section as a Right-of-Way agent. My main responsibilities are in consistence with the construction traffic control administration where I assist in the safety of the traveling public and in the construction zones. I am currently pursuing a career degree in the civil engineering field with Phoenix College. Over my academic career, I have been continuously active in a variety of leadership capacities, including several professional organizations. I am also a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Institute along with Toastmasters International as a Competent Communicator.
I enrich my presence on the Phoenix Hispanic Network Board by offering leadership skills , positive decision -making, high levels of integrity and loyalty to overlook the unbecoming, understand the unconventional, tolerate the unpleasant, overcome the unexpected and outlast the unbearable. Some of my future goals for the board and its members include working on listening to the needs of its members, focusing on opportunity for professional development by providing vision, determination, persistence and setting goals with efficiency and innovation. |

 In the 15 years with the City of Phoenix, I have worked in the Fire Department, Information Technology Services, and currently in the City Clerk Department where I lead two teams in providing computer and software support to City departments.
I have a MBA with a specialty in technology management, knowledge that is used daily in planning and supporting helpdesk operations. Participation on the Latina Breakfast Committee encouraged me to do more, and I volunteered for various roles in the Phoenix Hispanic Network leading to my current position as Secretary. My name is Adriana Traslaviña, and I am a Domestic Violence Victim Advocate with the City of Phoenix Prosecutor’s office and I am interested in serving as a member at large for the Phoenix Hispanic Network.
My education includes college level courses taken at Phoenix College and Rio Salado Community College. I have also attended numerous City of Phoenix trainings and professional development courses. I have been employed by the City of Phoenix for 17 years, and have held various positions ranging from clerical support to supervisory/professional during my tenure. I also hold a part time position as a customer service representative at a pediatric clinic which mainly serves an under privileged population. I have many passions, but the passion that drives me the most is helping people. Whether it is in the scope of my jobs working with crime victims and pediatric patients, or assisting fellow employees and departments within the City of Phoenix needing to locate services and referrals with issues regarding orders of protection, domestic relations and employment information, I am proud to say helping other people brings me both professional and personal joy. I currently serve or have served on the following committees: Office Events committee for the Prosecutor’s office in which I have chaired several subcommittees. I am a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and serve as the historian. I have been an active member of Phoenix Hispanic Network for many years and have attended and volunteered at various events for PHN. I have previously served on the DV Education subcommittee which organizes the DV Night at Chase Field Ballpark along with the Arizona Diamondbacks. I have volunteered for community events such as; Community Prosecution education fairs, “33 A Su Lado” phone bank which allows the Spanish speaking community members to call in with various questions about legal issues, and have also assisted in writing and translating script information on Domestic Violence for the Mexican Consulate to be played in their waiting areas. I want to help PHN continue in its mission, “In developing a diverse leadership through development opportunities for its members”, and myself. I want to use the experience and background I have to aid in that accomplishment. Obviously helping people is my passion and this is why I want to serve as a member at large for Phoenix Hispanic Network. |
